Heavy Hammer Crusher Working Principle
Driven by a motor, the rotor disc equipped with hammers rotates at high speed. When material enters the crushing chamber, it is struck by the rotating hammers and thrown against impact plates. The resulting collisions and inter-material impacts cause the material to break. Qualified particles are discharged through the outlet, while oversized material is sent back for further crushing until it meets the required particle size.

🧱 Material Suitability
✅ Primary Applicable Materials
-
Limestone
-
Typically <150 MPa, ideal for PCZ crushers
-
-
Bluestone
-
Medium hardness, ≤200 MPa, good efficiency
-
-
Coal Gangue
-
Highly brittle, low abrasiveness
-
-
River Pebbles / Cobblestones
-
Suitable if compressive strength ≤200 MPa
-
⚠️ Conditionally Applicable Materials (Must meet strength limits)
-
Dolomite (≤200 MPa)
-
Sandstone (medium hardness)
-
Marble (≤200 MPa)
-
Low-abrasion basalt (strength must be verified)
❗ Key Restrictions
-
Compressive strength limit: Most models ≤150–200 MPa
-
Materials exceeding this range require alternative crushers (e.g., cone crushers)
-
Material characteristics: Only suitable for brittle, medium-hard, and low-abrasion materials
-
Calcium content: Some models require ≥40% Ca content in material
💡 Equipment Advantages
The PCZ Heavy Hammer Crusher enables one-time crushing and shaping (suitable for projects ≤600 t/h), eliminating the need for secondary crushing, which reduces costs by up to 40%. With a large feeding size (up to 1200 mm), it is ideal for mid-scale crushing applications in mining, building materials, and chemical industries.
Note: Proper model selection should be based on specific material properties such as compressive strength and abrasion index.
