Heavy Hammer Crusher⚙️ Working Principle
Driven by a motor, the rotor disk equipped with hammers rotates at high speed. When material enters the crushing chamber, it is struck by the hammers and rapidly thrown against impact plates. This results in secondary collisions, high-speed inter-particle impact, and frictional crushing. Material that meets the required particle size is discharged through the outlet. Oversized material is recirculated into the crushing chamber for further processing until it meets size requirements.

🧱 Material Suitability
The PCZ Heavy Hammer Crusher is designed for medium-hard and brittle materials, generally requiring compressive strength ≤150–200 MPa.
✅ Primary Applicable Stone Types
-
Limestone
-
Typically <150 MPa; the most ideal material for PCZ crushers
-
-
Bluestone
-
Medium hardness, ≤200 MPa; efficient crushing performance
-
-
Coal Gangue
-
High brittleness, low abrasiveness; excellent crushing results
-
-
River Pebbles / Cobbles
-
Natural round stones, suitable if ≤200 MPa
-
⚠️ Conditionally Applicable Stones (must meet strength limitations)
-
Dolomite (≤200 MPa)
-
Sandstone (medium hardness)
-
Marble (≤200 MPa)
-
Low-abrasion Basalt (requires strength verification)
❗ Key Limitations
-
Compressive Strength Limit: ≤150–200 MPa for most models
-
Material Type: Only suitable for brittle, medium-hard, low-abrasion materials
-
High-hardness materials (e.g., granite, iron ore): require strict validation or alternative equipment such as cone crushers
-
Calcium Content Requirement: Some models require ≥40% Ca content in material
💡 Equipment Advantages
The PCZ Heavy Hammer Crusher enables one-time crushing and shaping, making it ideal for projects with output requirements up to 600 t/h. It eliminates the need for secondary crushing equipment, reducing overall system cost by up to 40%. With a large feeding capacity (up to 1200 mm), it is well-suited for mid-scale crushing tasks in mining, building materials, and chemical industries.
Note: Final equipment selection must be based on specific material properties such as compressive strength and abrasion index, matched with the correct machine model.
